I said mid 7s to start. U need to remember they have updates for performance. So if out of the box its running 6.5s, what's gonna happen when its updated? It's running with the Hellion Stang , Vipers , MP4 and also the ZR1? That will be plain silly. Just my 2cents.

[quote=Ghost10;2861280]Ok so in RL you have a ton a companies that build or offer parts t do a V-8 swap into just about any Miata made in the past two decades. You can put a new BOSS 302 Mustang engine in one just the same as other companies offer turn-key or DIY kits to drop a ZR1 engine in one...who thinks we need an engine swap like one of these for the new Miata??
LS on that lol be real u wont be able to supercharge cause it wont fit under the hood but nitto is dumb sumtime cause they dont know much about cars that thing needs a f22 motor form the S2000 not LS motor Last edited by Temor : 05-05-2012 at 11:37 AM. |

Kamaro you make a very good point, i hadn't thought of the performance updates... and a H22 in a Miata...are you kidding? And there are indeed companies that make kits and turn-key cars with LS engines, up to ZR-1 engines that will fit a stock Miata hood from a lowered K-member, and beside, a cowl-induction hood would fix any clearence issues.

So realistic... a V8 in a Japanese POFS.
But I still like it... |

I think there needs to be more engine swap options if this is to be a realistic drag racing game. Ive been to drag strips, car shows, and also done some street racing and one thing i have learned from experience is that if you have a welder, you can put any engine into any car u want.

I agree, an American iron engine between the shock towers of a ricer is wierd but will just smoke.....same idea Caroll Shelby had decades ago, may he rest in peace. Take a powerful engine and put it in a lightweight car......and also you can swap any engine into any car at all with enough work but we need some real world swaps like the Bettle, Corolla, RX-7, etc etc. already have and a zr1 engine in a Miata(which there is a company that makes a DIY kit for) would pwn, or a 2013 Shelby GT50 engine making 662hp from a bored out 351 would be even better since it has more hp, hits 0-60 1.10th of a second faster and is several tenths of a second faster in the 1320 =P
But one way or another if we get the Miata swap it'll more than likely run high 6s to flat 7's at first, then low, like 6.3-6.2s after some performance parts |
